Volunteers Needed for this Weekend

Saturday:

*Be at the Armory @ 1:00 pm
*We will be setting up the 50 tables in the main room and 8 others in the overflow room. We will put table cloths on each one.
*Setting up and decorating the Christmas tree in the "Santa" area. (Also need anicearm chair for Santa to sit in while talking to the children)
*Setting up the tables that will be used for the food, drinks, desserts, children's arts and crafts, and the door prizes. (They are having 2 different serving lines)
*Putting up any other Christmas decor the Armory has.
*Setting up the stage, (would appreciate any strong person supervising this)
*Anything else Command wishes to be done.

For Sunday:

*All volunteers need to be here @ 9 am if possible (If you arrive late please come in and locate Karl or Sandy for assignments)

*Assist Kitchen Staff setting the serving tables up as needed

*We will be setting out the door prizes, many will be put at each place setting.

*Setting up place settings on the dining tables.

*Assist families with small children to their tables. Please just take their plates and drinks, do not try to take the child.

*Ensure all beverages stay full during the dinner. Get anything they ask for if possible, we want them to relax and enjoy themselves.

*Once Santa makes his entrance, things will then be more relaxed. The Kiwanis’s have asked for some of the youth to help with the arts and crafts table and corralling the children as they wait for their turn with the jolly elf.

*We need to make sure the tables are cleared as they complete their meals, so that clean up can go quickly, but allow them to socialize all they want. Continue to fill their glasses until they say stop.

*In the kitchen, during the event, we will need some people to assist in taking out the trash and whatever else staff asks. They will handle the food, but we can help in other ways as directed.

*The event is scheduled to conclude at 14:00, (2:00 pm), once it is over we will need to get all tablecloths thrown out, the tables and chairs put up, the floor swept and mopped as quickly as possible.
*Some of the decor will stay up because they are having another event soon.

*Please remember to be flexible, this is the first time Mandy has done this and she will need smiling faces and willing hands.

*Dress code is holiday business. For ladies, heels are not advised as the floor is
cement!

Thank you for your willingness to help. Let's let the soldiers and family members see that Mustang cares about them!

With your help, this can be one of the best Christmas memories that many of these families may have.

Show up at the Armed Forces Reserve Center (south end of Cedar Springs Road which runs south only from State Highway 152 about half way between Morgan Road and Sara Road. There is the Cosby Ranch building to the west of the road and Mike Hales Car lot on the east side.)
