New Mustang High School

Mustang High School campus, where a new football fieldhouse, improvements to the west side of the stadium and student health and wellness facility have been completed. Construction on a new, two-story classroom building is underway and work continues on the planned media center, cafeteria and commons area that will increase the school’s capacity. The changes will also help connect the now separate academic buildings and further increase the ability to secure the campus.

Mustang’s athletic program is also respected throughout Oklahoma. At the secondary level, the district boasts more than 75 teams. Over the past two years, many of the district’s student athletes have signed partial or full scholarships with universities around the country.

Students also have the opportunity to pursue their interests in one of the school’s arts or specialty programs. Mustang’s woodworking program is one of less than a dozen left in the state and DECA, an association of marketing students, provides real-world experience through community projects. Mustang is one of the few districts in the state to implement a JROTC program. In addition, Mustang is also a leader in the arts, with students bringing home honors in band, choir, graphic arts and more.

Mustang students also spend time giving back to the community. Recently, the entirely student-led Relay for Life event raised more than $69,000 for cancer research. From the Valentine’s Day King and Queen of Hearts Assembly where students raise money for a local person in need to classes donating books to help start libraries in Africa, students at Mustang High School give back to their communities
